200 years young

Upcoming

No discussion about the pattern of contemporary urban fabric is complete without invoking Frederick Law Olmsted. Mythologized as the father of landscape architecture, Olmsted’s legacy is, in fact, a great deal more complex, and a great deal more relevant. Today, spaces that foster civic engagement, public health, and environmental resilience are more important than ever. Ummo is thrilled to shape and spread this message on the eve of Olmsted’s bicentennial. In partnership with the Emerald Necklace Conservancy and other parks stewards, we look forward to developing a new brand to inspire and mobilize the next generation of public space users.

Back to school

Upcoming

Ummo is thrilled to partner with a distinguished group of academic institutions on transformative projects. At Dartmouth College, Ummo is developing a visual identity for the Friends of Dartmouth Rowing Boathouse, where student-athletes prepare for the rigors of the Connecticut River. At the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, we are making the campus more navigable and accessible with a comprehensive wayshowing system. And at New York University, our team is welcoming the community to a new building that combines recreation, wellness, and student services; we designed experiential graphics that stitch together the building’s multifunctional spaces.

The case for coastal resilience

Upcoming

We are excited to partner with the Boston Green Ribbon Commission on amplifying its mission and communications. As climate change looms in the lives and livelihoods of communities, the Green Ribbon Commission is leading the way towards a more resilient region. Working with a coalition of civic agencies, scientists, and private sector leaders, Ummo looks forward to developing a powerful brand for an urgent cause.

Reinventing the science of sight

Upcoming

Ummo is thrilled to partner with bioscience innovators who are developing revolutionary new therapies. Ummo worked with the scientific team at Aramis to introduce its therapy for ocular surface disease through a new brand and website. And we created a new name, visual identity, and website for SightStream—pioneers in the field of regenerative vision.
